EVOLUTION
IS IT ONLY A BIOLOGICAL PROCESS?
If we decide to look up a definition of the term “evolution” in any dictionary, it would most probably be “process of growth; development” or “change in the gene pool of a population from generation to generation”. But what is evolution really about and how can we use the organic development and the fundaments of Darwin’s theory in the practical life, in order to realize complete progress?
Basically, according to its biological context, evolution is a process of great importance for the future development of all living kinds. Despite the veracity of this affirmation, it shows only the surface of the evolutional significance. Even by observing a “simple”, everyday process of a bee picking pollen from a flower, by looking at someone else’s face, we become witnesses of a piece of eternity, because evolution has left only the qualitative characteristics during the centuries as a result of the principle of natural selection .Therefore, every time we see a bee, a flower, a human being or any other existential kind, we see the best of nature’s creation for that particular moment.
Evolution is not only a genetic progression but a complicated emotional process as well. Human beings have both biological and sensual beginning and the second one is very often neglected. The difference between physical and spiritual advancement is retrogressive regarding general maturity. Body and mind should be developed simultaneously. Otherwise, the result would be presence of corporeal life and eternity of nature and, at the same time, undeveloped and literally embryonic emotional potential, making the perception of the everlastingness impossible. People ignore the representatives of the flora and the fauna and forget that they are at exactly the same evolutionary level with the other people, regardless of the ethnic, cultural or social division dissimilarities. The willingness to help, the sense of empathy and the commitment are the basic premises for progress.
As a natural pursuit of the ideal, evolution consists of wild range of aspects but the most important step on the revolutionary road of change can be made by the understanding of the need of harmony and succession between natural processes and emotional growth.
