The real artist of life

The real artist of life
‘The Natural Selection has no vision, no foresight, no sight at all. If it can be said to play the role of watchmaker in nature, it is the *blind* watchmaker.’ said once the English biologist Richard Dawkins. But blind or with a good field of vision nature always finds a way to create, to express its talent for being the real artist of life and its greatest workshop at the same time. Each detail of its creations reveals consummation and breath – the frail, delicate pine needles, the unforgettable blossom of the forget-me-not, the specific colouration of the butterfly’s wings, the unique form of our fingers.
On one of my photos you can see a seascape consisting of sky, sea and sand. These three – air, water and earth – have always exercised the functions of life’s most substantial symbols, its identifying ‘flag’. Earth as natural element has always meant ‘home’ for the human, air has always indicated life-force and water - the life cycle. And we, people, are just like these natural forces – every one of us is a bearer of the birds’ impulse and freedom, of the power of water energy, its property to take every possible shape, of the motherhood of Earth. No matter how and how much humans change we will always keep this in ourselves.
The greatest creation of nature is definitely the human. And not because we are omnivorous mammals and not only because of our bipedalism and highly developed brain, but in some measure because we have created the tooth-paste and very much because we can find and feel home everywhere – in a cave, on earth itself, near the fire, in cold cotton sheets, under the stars. The resources of nature may be limited, but people’s will and adaptation characteristics are not. At the same time it is amazing to realize that the creature, that has conquered the top of the world and examined other planets, cries while watching movies like ‘Titanic’ or ‘Pearl Harbor’.
Humans are almost as creative as nature itself. Our biological evolution is a prerequisite for all other types of evolution – social evolution, individuals’ evolution, evolution of dreams and achievements. We live with the belief that we can achieve anything if we only want to and we love our new game – playing masters of other creatures, of the world and of nature. But what will be then the next stage of our evolution?
